Cheesy Goodbye (Sorta)

This is gonna be my last post of the year, and it's sort of sad.
This year I've enjoyed a lot of things like Camp, Sports Fest, Swimming, Tech, Art Week and a lot more things.
I've learnt a lot more things, especially from Topic.
Thank you to the Intermediate teachers, you are very good role models and I've learnt a lot from you.
Also thank you to my friends, the ones that are always there to have fun with me and still stay beside me even when things are tough. I appreciate it and I will never forget you guys. :3
To Millie and Grace: We've been BFFs for about 5 yrs and it's really sad because we are going to different colleges. We've got to keep in touch.
And everyone else that has helped me this year, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
St. Benedict's is an awesome school and I hope the kids here know how lucky they are.

Big Day Out!

My highlight of the year is CAMP and MISSION FAIR. I enjoyed those activities so much and wish I could do them again.
I have been to quite a few big day outs and honestly I can only remember one. It was two years ago in room 9 and we went to the zoo. I saw penguins and tigers and lots of other animals. I even got to hold some animals like hamsters and tuataras!! I also remember "someone" telling me there was a unicorn at the zoo. I stupidly believed that and nearly got lost.
Oh wait, another one's coming back to me. I also remember going to Zealandia. We had to get our bags checked so there were no rats or cats in there. Hard to believe. We did heaps of walking and we also saw lots  of Tuataras and I even saw a baby one!
My favourite big day out is still the zoo one though. It was pretty fun.
I think we will be going to the Zoo for Big Day Out because that's where I want to go.
What was your favourite big day out?

WHOOSH

Next year I'll be off to college, which means I'll be leaving St.Benedict's school :( I was really sad at first, but after the orientation day, I felt really excited and confident because all the students and teachers there were so welcoming, nice and funny. Next year we will have BYOD which stands for bring your own device and it is a good opportunity to ask my parents to get me  an ipad mini. Anyway, next year I hope I won't get lost but I'm sure it'll be okay because my sister's there. I am going to try hard and give everything a go.
Overall, I'm feeling excited and also I've already made some friends.
Citlin, if u r reading this, I will keep my promise.
Which college are you going to?

bOoK wEeK

Last week was book week and we did heaps of interesting activities like the Golden Ticket hunt and we even got to meet Kate De Goldi! I didn't get to dress up for book character parade or participate in the book quiz even though I got in the team because I was sick. :( Meeting Kate De Goldi was Awesome! She was so interesting and it was impossible to get bored. Her books sound so interesting even though I've never read them. I tried to get her books out but they were already either issued or reserved. :(  At the end I did something that I thought was super brave. I went and asked for her signature!! She also told me that my name meant light.
The Golden tickets were a big thing during book week. Everyone was looking for them and I have to admit I was too! It was such an amazing challenge but it made me question myself as a Consultant Detective. :(
Anyway, Book week has been epic but it would've been better if I came to school on Friday. (I would've probably dressed up as Sherlock :3)
What did you dress up as for book Character Day?

HORTON HEARS A WHO! & HORTON HATCHES THE EGG!

I read heaps of books when I was little but my family loves Dr.Seuss so my mum bought me almost all of his books. My favourite ones were HORTON HEARS A WHO and HORTON HATCHES THE EGG. I watched the movie for Horton hears a who and it was so good!
Obviously, I read other books too. I liked books that relate to me or the audio books my cousin sends to  me. The book allows them to record their own voices into the book so when I open the book I can hear them read. It's like hearing them read right beside me. That's what's so good about these books. Sadly, you can only get them in America.
So, what's your favourite book from when you were little?

...Australian Football League...

Last Thursday, we played AFL, I have to admit, it is a thousand times better than I thought it would be, but it's still not my favourite sport. We learned some things to help us remember the techniques. Here are some:
Laces away from faces
Point your toes where you want the ball to go
Crosses up and down
Ring finger on the seams

If you've got any more techniques, tell me because I missed out on the second lesson. Bye~

~{24/7} GAMING AND TV SHOWS {24/7}~

I love playing games and watching tv shows in my spare time. To be honest, I hate a lot of change, so if I find something I truly like, there is no talking me out of it, no matter how convincing it may sound.
Anyway, so my favourite TV show is BBC SHERLOCK. It is so good and I've honestly watched it so many times that I can't keep track of it anymore. My favourite episode is Season 1 Episode 1. I have watched it more than 15 times. It never gets old!!! Season 2 episode 3 made me cry because I thought Sherlock had died, but I was stupid because then there wouldn't have been season 3!
My favourite games are MINECRAFT, NEIGHBOURS FROM HELL and PLANTS vs ZOMBIES. I highly recommend them all because I spend hours on end playing them. I like all of them, but if I had to choose, my most favourite would be Minecraft. I've spent nearly a year building something and it's still not finished. But that's ok, because there's no way I'm gonna get sick of it anytime soon!
That's it for today, I've got a question for you guys:
What's a TV show/movie that you've watched so many times that you can even memorise it?

CRIME SCENE *DO NOT CROSS*

Hey guys, I am super excited about this post because I am going to be talking about my dream career. I've always wanted to be a detective/forensic scientist/CONSULTANT DETECTIVE and to be honest, this isn't a recent interest. I have loved detectives since I was little, but I used to want to be a hair stylist.(Which is totally weird now I look back at it)

Types of Forensics:
Field Forensics, which is the ones who investigate and collect evidence from the crime scene.
Laboratory Science, which is any type of testing done in a lab after samples are taken.
Medical Science, the people who have to look at dead bodies and define the time they died by the maggots in their body.

Fields of Forensics: (That I'm interested in)
Forensic Anthropology: Study in the human body and social relationships
Forensic Entomology: Study in insects (Helps prove alibi)
Forensic Mathematics: Finding relationships and patterns in crime scenes and evidence.
Forensic Reconstruction: Recreating the crime scene
Forensic Toxicology: Study in poison.
Latent prints Identification: Identifying fingerprints, footprints, palmprints...

Ok, so that's it for today. Hope you like my post.
Here's a question for you: (Answer it truthfully)
Do you think I'll be a good detective/forensic scientist? (Remember to say why)

NEIGHBOURS FROM HELL

In this two week holidays, i did fun stuff. I think I did heaps of stuff, but I forgot half of it. The one thing I recall is a playdate on Wednesday, the first week of the holidays. Connie came to my house for a playdate and it was actually super fun! We drew portraits of each other and ate heaps of chocolate. We "scooted" to the park and we did trailers and courses. Then we went back to my house and played Minecraft while pranking my sister. After we got bored, we went on my laptop and played NEIGHNOURS FROM HELL. It's an awesome game and very exciting, my sister said she could hear us all the way from downstairs. When Connie's dad finally came to pick her up, we hid in my closet. (It has monsters in it.) But my sister found out, so we decided to hide under my bed. But our dads eventually found us and Connie got dragged home.  (I got to see her super cute puppy!)

On Saturday, we went to Oriental bay, Mount Victoria and more places that I can't remember. But I got some pretty great photos at Oriental Bay. That night we had the biggest feast I could ever remember and we did Karaoke. But I "secretly" went to my parent's room to cry because of some personal reasons. But I remember it so well. It was sad.

On Sunday, the first week, my sister and I were watching SPN while letting our poor parents pack for a five day trip. We stayed up till 11:30 and I barely got any sleep when we had to wake up at 5:00.
We drove for ages and we stopped at Subway for lunch. I remember I was really sleepy but my sister kept hitting Twilight. So I cried.
When we finally got to Ohakune we took pictures with Twilight and the famous carrot. Then we went to our chalet. It looked awesome but since we are a dumb family, it took us ten minutes to find the door. When we finally got in, I ran upstairs and got the coolest bed.
That night we had two minute noodles and nachos and pizza and corn soup. I was super stressed because I have an exam coming up and I was sure that I'm going to fail.
To make this short what I've done/went to was:
Skiing- I skied all the way down the mountain all by myself!
Jet Boating-My glasses nearly fell off
Rainbow Springs-We went on a splash ride, and I got soaked
Maze-We got lost so many times...
Lake Taupo Boat Cruise-I drank too much Hot Chocolate.

So basically, I had an awesome holiday. Yeah.
How was your holiday?

Art week ;)

Last week was the art exhibition and it was successful because of all the hard work that was put in by all the students in our school. My favourite art done by me is my alien because I think it's so cute.
Our theme was space- star wars and rockets. We made space themed record covers, big paintings, rocket paintings and self portraits of us falling into space. Overall, I have had heaps of fun and enjoyed it a lot.

I love the sunset done by room 8
My alien that I did. XD

Chocolate and Marshmallow

My favourite poem that I've written is about the memory I had when I first got Chocolate and Marshmallow. (My guinea-pigs) (They're super cute!) I like this poem because it gives me good memories of when I first got them and they were so tiny! Chocolate has been my best best best friend for 3 years and he is always there when I'm sad. But now he's gone. so yeah.

Guinea-pigs scurrying
In a box
Speed bumps everywhere
Hushed squeaks

An abrupt stop
The engine dies
Car doors slam
More hushed squeaks

The lid is lifted
Two perfect guinea-pigs
Warm caramel coloured
Chocolate and Marshmallow

Frightened sniffs
Agitated twitches
Gentle ruffles
At last, home sweet home

The most Fascinating Artist ever!

Hey guys, this week we are supposed to write about an artist that we like. The artist I've chosen is J.M.W. Turner which is short for Joseph Mallord William Turner. He was born on a day in late April~early May at Covent Garden, London, England. He died on the 19th of December, 1851. His movement, which means style of art, is Romantism. I like his artworks because he has achieved all the goals I've set for myself in realism art and that's amazing. The way that he can paint an image in his head then transform it into a masterpiece is simply stunning.

My top three favourites are:

1. I've lost my boat
It's a beautiful piece of art and I totally love it because the picture shows obvious joy and it makes me happy just looking at it. The blending is also goals!!! XO
2. Dartmouth Castle on the river Dart
This oil painting uses similar colours as the first painting I showed. I also love this painting because I like the way he displayed the time and place.

3. A storm (Shipwreck)
Date: 1823
This one is cool because the way he painted the waves showed exactly how hard it would have been for the people on the ships and especially if they were caught up in a storm. He also painted the splash of the waves very well.

One day, I hope to be able to paint as good as him but it's gonna take time. Since practice makes perfect! XD

Regional Sports Fest! (Badminton!)

Yesterday was the regional sports fest and the sport I participated in was badminton. The people that formed the St.Benedict's Smashers were Katerina, Sarah, Isabella and I. We took the bus to Hataitai badminton club. When we first got there we took some team photos. After that, we played a game where you hit one shot then join the back of the other line. I ended up getting third place though it wasn't  fair because I had to run all the way around the net to receive the shot and before I got to the other side, the shuttlecock already hit the ground. :( I think the best player out of all the competitors was a guy called Ethan. He smashes so well and knows all the little tricks used in badminton. He goes to the same badminton club as me and it's really fun to play with him because it's so challenging.

The teams there were:
Raroa Intermediate
Newlands Intermediate 1, 2 and 3
Plimmerton school
Samuel Marsden
St. Benedict's Smashers.

We won one game out of 24 but I still think it was really fun. Our team is probably the weakest since my teammates have never played badminton before but they have worked hard and improved so much during the few hours of practice and the other teams have been training for years.

My mom was there to supervise and whenever I missed a shot she would always make a loud gasping sound. It was super irritating. At one point I turned around and told her to be quiet and I swear everyone started staring at me. It was still good to have my mom there because she could support me and tell me what I could improve on.

The placings were:
1. Raroa Intermediate
2. Newlands Intermediate 2
3. Plimmerton School
4. Samuel Marsden
5. Newlands Intermediate 1
6. Newlands intermediate 3
7. St.Benedict's school

The trouble with the NZ Flag

This week I am going to be talking about the possible changing of the New Zealand flag. I looked through the forty possible choices and to be honest I think the one we have now is perfectly fine but I'll still pick out my top four favourites.

Top four
1. Black Jack
2. White and Black fern
3. Black and White Fern
4. Koru (Black)

It was really hard to choose my top four favourites because some of the colours look really bad together and I don't think it will look good as the current NZ flag.

Reasons we should keep the original flag:
1. It's a waste of time
2. It's a waste of money
3. It's gonna cause a riot
4. Some designs look really weird.

My overall opinion is NO the New Zealand flag shouldn't be changed.

Art is my life! >>>Doodling and sketching<<< (Someone who inspired me)

So this week our post is supposed to be based on art. I am actually really happy about that because I absolutely love art. My favourite types of art are doodling and pencil sketching. I like doodling because doodling is not something that is really pressuring. I see doodling as a way of expressing how you feel through simple pieces of art which means I don't have to worry about how it looks or how people think of it.
My other favourite type of artwork is pencil sketching and I'm directing it more to realistic pencil sketching because I've always liked imitating really cool artworks that I see on the internet or even my role models  like Sherlock Holmes. The hardest bit/the bit I'm working on is how the eyes, nose, mouth, ears and hair are structured and shaded to make the picture more realistic. I tend to struggle a lot on the eyes. A reason I don't really like to colour my work is because I like smudging pencil led to make shadows and so on.
In my spare time, my favourite things to draw are generally things like cute puppies and kitties or just any cute animals. I also like drawing people, like my role model, Sherlock.
I didn't always love art this much. I have to thank someone who has taken me into the wondrous world of art. This person has inspired me for quite a while now and although that person isn't famous and gets judged by people, that person will always be the best artist in my opinion.
I think art isn't about what comes out in the end, but how you have expressed your feelings through the artwork and the effort and time you've put into it.
This term our theme for art is space so if I could choose what we were doing for the art exhibition it would probably be paintings of Nebulas or something colourful like that.
Has anyone ever inspired you in Art?

Dinner with Sherlock Holmes and Matt!

If I could invite two people for dinner, they would probably be Sherlock Holmes and my best friend Matt. Firstly, the reason I would invite Sherlock Holmes is because he is my role model and he is just so smart. The reason I would invite Matt is because we have been best friends since we were born and he can always make me happy, even if it's by doing silly things. If I really could invite both of them for dinner then that would be totally amazing. There are heaps of stuff I would ask Sherlock, like how to be a good Consultant Detective/Forensic Scientist and what details to focus on at a crime scene. As for Matt, we would be doing a lot of catching up. Ever since I came to New Zealand, I hardly saw him and he barely replies his texts because he goes to boarding school.
I really wish I could actually invite them for dinner, but it would be practically impossible since Sherlock doesn't exist and Matt is on the other side of the world. :(
Also, for dinner we would definately eat pizza. Yum :D

Best Memories ever!!! :P

My favourite memories were mostly with my granddad Frank. He is my Mum's dad. Last year when we went to a animal themed park, there was a ride where you had to be under 50 to go on it but he lied to the lady saying he was 49. (He is actually over 70) My mum sometimes gets mad at him because she says he spoils me. He buys me way too much treats like lots and lots of pudding! We went to Night Markets nearly every night and he even bought me fishies as pets!! We went to the park on bicycles and he also brought me to the library where we would find joke books and books about Sherlock Holmes. We also went on a road trip. On that trip, my sister and I got into a big fight. I kinda punched her and she started crying. My granddad surprised all of us by asking me if I was okay. Okay, I admit. I really am kind of spoilt by him.

One of my other favourite memories were made with my Great-Uncle. He is one of the funniest people I know. He has an adorable dog called Paji. Paji is absolutely adorable and I got to look after him for a week. The problem is that Paji is terribly frightened of me. So it's kind of hard to walk him unless I had a bag of treats with me. We had a huge family reunion lunch one day and my great uncle and I decided to have a competition on who's cooler. We asked each family member for their opinion but most of them just said I was "cute". It was annoying. But, in the end, I still won. (My granddad cheated for me) One day, I told him about a cartoon that I loved watching and I said that the main character Gumball was really cute. He told me that if he was cuter than Gumball then he would smack me.( In the end, I got "smacked") When we went on a trip, he told me that if I ever got a boyfriend he has to be as handsome as him and he would also pay for a ticket for him to Taiwan. He is so weird.

I love my family so much and I have many more memories with them but these are some of my  favourite.
Who's your favourite family member?

Term 2 Holidays!! :P

The past two weeks had gone by pretty fast and now I'm back at school again with another load of tasks.I have to admit that I was actually looking forward to going to school until I actually got there.
My holidays was very relaxing because on the first week of the holidays,my family and I practically did nothing except slouching in front of the TV watching horror movies. Those were pretty intimidating. In the second week of the Holidays, we went to Palmerston North. It was a long drive but it wasn't the teeniest bit boring because of the music that was being played and all the chips.
On one of the Fridays, we had Millie around for a sleepover and it was fun even though she arrived at my house at 8:30pm. We invited my sisters up to party and I swear mum got really mad because we ate all the ice cream and popsicles. The next day we watched two more horror movies,(Insidious 1 and 2)then went to KFC for lunch. We had a great afternoon and spent most of our time playing this really weird game.
Yesterday, which was the last day of the holidays, my dad recommended me an amazing movie called Cafe.Waiting,Love. I think it's a mixture between comedy and romance. There were bits in the movie that made me burst out laughing or made me really inspired. It is currently my favourite movie and I recommend everyone to watch it. Even though it's in Chinese.
Anyway, I've really enjoyed my holidays and my favourite bit was the sleepover and watching Cafe.Waiting.Love. I'm really looking forward to the Term 3 holidays when we go skiing!!!

Nairnville!!! :D

This term we have been going to Nairnville and I have enjoyed most of the lessons there. For the first few weeks, we did gymnastics and I thought it was okay. But then we started doing Rippa Rugby a few weeks ago and that was definately amazing. I really liked playing rippa rugby and all the warm-up activities we've done. The new skills I have learnt are stuff like how to intercept balls in Rippa rugby and the best ways to throw and catch. I have tried to get involved more but sometimes it is hard when I am not so good at it. I didn't get to do football last Thursday though, because I was in Auckland. :(  My suggestions for future Nairnville lessons would be that we should definately do badminton, since it's such an awesome sport. I really hope we get to do badminton next term.

Deutsch

This year the language that we have been learning at school is German. I've learnt quite a lot about greeting people in German whether it is in a formal or informal way. The videos that we've been watching also tells us a bit of the history and culture of Germany and how it is very different from New Zealand and most other countries. The videos are pretty fun, but sometimes it gets boring when we repeat it even though I know it is necessary for our learning.
When I go to college I know I will have the choice of choosing either Japanese, Maori, German and French. I am most interested in Maori but my mum expects me to take Japanese.
I don't think learning a little bit of German will help me in the future, since I'm not planning on visiting Germany any time soon, but I think it's a pretty fun language.

Be E.P.I.C!!!!! :D

As you guys probably already know, E.P.I.C stands for Empathy, Perseverance, Integrity and Creativity.
This week I think I've shown the value Creativity because I think I did pretty well for my title page and R.E art. So the easiest value for me is Creativity and the hardest one is probably Perseverance.

Empathy means to be able to understand and share the feelings of others.
Perseverance means to not give up even when something is really difficult .
Integrity means to be honest and have moral principles.
Creativity means to be creative or inventive.

What value have you shown this week?

North Child

A book that I have read recently is North Child. I chose to write about this book because I enjoyed it a lot and couldn't stop reading it. This book is about a superstitious mother who believes that children born facing north will be wild and travel far from home. She is terrified when Rose, a north child is said to face an icy death. Rose is unaware of this so when a white bear appears at her door to take her away, she agrees to his bargain. She travels on the bear's back to a mysterious castle where a stranger appears night after night. She did something that has terrible consequences while being overwhelmed by curiosity. Now she must go on a journey to fulfil her true destiny.

Characters:
Rose- a girl who is born facing north and crazy about weaving
Neddy- Rose's brother who is always looking out for her
White Bear- The bear who travelled with Rose to a castle
Troll Queen- A queen who has always wanted to own the White Bear

The Galapagos Islands~~~

Lots of animals on the Galapagos Islands are unique and the only way they could survive in such harsh climate was because they adapted to suit their surroundings. The islands are located in the Archipelago off the west coast of South America. The Galapagos islands are made up of 16 islands and as each island ages, they become smaller  and smaller. The reason is that over time, the islands sink under their own weight and weather also eventually carves it away.
The Marine Iguana is an animal that has done a lot of adaption. They used to be land iguanas that floated to the Galapagos on rafts made of vegetation. They adapted to having longer tails and black skin because their tails help them swim and their black skin attracts heat.
The Galapagos Waved Albatross spends most of their time on wing and they land once a year at Espanola to breed. 35,000 settle there every year. Their enormous wings have a wingspan of 2 1/2 metres.
For social studies next term we should definitely do history about China because China has one of the longest and most interesting histories.

Responsibilities and Roles that I'm doing this year :D

This year there were many letters that we had to write to many different teachers about what roles or responsibilities we wanted to take up. I chose to take up two this year, First Aid and Librarian, though I only got into one of them, which was Librarian. Even though I didn't get into First Aid, I still enjoy helping around sometimes. I was a librarian last year and this year I also got chosen to be a librarian I love being a librarian because firstly, Penny is the best librarian ever, secondly, I love reading books and lastly, I love being around in the library with my best friends. There is another responsibility that I have taken up and it is to be a Milk Monitor. I didn't actually sign up for it. Well, actually no one signed up for it in our class so there had to be volunteers for Rm11. Calvin volunteered for the role first, then asked me if I wanted to join, so I agreed to do it. Basically, Joseph does Room 1, 2 and 10. Frankie delivers milk to Rooms 4, 5, 8, and 9. Calvin and I do Rooms 6, 7, 11, and 12. It's actually pretty fun. I have no suggestions for the roles. These are my responsibilities for this year.

ASB Get Wise $$$

Today a guy from ASB came to our class and taught us a little bit about money. I think the lesson was worthwhile because I learnt stuff about credit cards and eftpos cards. The key points from the lesson was that if you earn money, you should save some too. My financial goal is to save up enough money to buy a Shih Tzu or Maltese puppy or a giant unicorn. I don't know if I manage my money well, because I leave that to my mom but I think probably no.

Mission Fair- Cookie Quarters

Last Friday was the Mission Fair. These are the people that were in my group: Katherine, Catherine, Sharon, Caitlin and Shantel. Our group name was Cookie Quarters. The name was made by Katherine and that was pretty much a last minute name but I think it's great. We were supposed to put up posters at the foyer but then I spelt quarters wrong so it took forever to change and we end up not even putting the poster up. For our activities we did Lollies in a jar, Cupcakes, Biscuits, Chocolate Marshmallows and stuff. The most popular one was a game where you throw a coin at the chocolate and if it lands on it then you get to keep it. The second most popular thing was the Chocolate Marshmallows and the cookies. I made the Chocolate Marshmallows the night before with a lot of help but I thought that it looked pretty gross, but still. It tasted so good!! I couldn't stop stuffing my face with it and neither could my sister. Personally, I think we did pretty well and at the end we found out that we raised about $2400 for Vanuatu after the cyclone. I really liked working with my best friends and overall I think it was a great last mission fair.

Lest We Forget~~~

This term I have learnt a lot about WW1 and Gallipoli. I kind of knew half the stuff because I was always really interested in the war and I love reading books about it. I learned the mapping of Gallipoli, what soldiers did to pass time, the death rate of Anzac soldiers and how sometimes disease and lack of water killed soldiers more frequently than bullets. I'm pretty sure there was a Anzac Memorial Dawn Service but since it was so early, none of my family could be bothered taking me there. I loved this topic and I really enjoyed doing researches about Gallipoli.

Term 1 Reflection and Holidays!!!

This term has been fantastic. I’ve enjoyed the school picnic, Tech, Swimming and most of all, Camp!! I really liked the group activities, like the Maori legend art because I get to work with my friends from different classes.  This term has gone by so fast and I am so looking forward to next term, term 2.  For the 2 week holidays, I’ll probably stay home and watch movies, or invite my friends over. Yeah. That’s about it. But the term 3 holidays will be better because every year we go skiing and I love it so much!!

Best week ever :D

As you know, last week was year 8 camp. We went to Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuit Centre also known as Hillary Outdoors or OPC.  What I found most challenging was Bridge-Jumping because it was hard letting go of the bridge and falling into the freezing cold water.
I found Caving and Flying Fox pretty easy. It wasn't really what I expected because I thought the bridge would be higher, but I'm glad it wasn't that high. My proudest moment was when I jumped off the bridge because I couldn't believe I actually did it. I didn't really have a "favourite moment" because I enjoyed every bit of camp.
I really liked being in the same cabin with Millie, Grace, Caitlin, Sharon and Katherine because they're my best friends.
At the high ropes I expected myself to start crying and screaming to get down, but it was the total opposite. I loved it.
I really have to thank Frankie because without his encouragement, I would never have done "the birth canal" or bridge-jumping and he also volunteered to do high ropes with me.

Reflection of my "group work skills"

Recently we've been learning about the ICC cricket world cup and personally I'm not that interested cause it's been explained to me heaps, but, you can't blame me. I just don't get it. For the cricket world cup project i worked with Niamh. She's an awesome partner and can make cricket seem less boring. She does like to tell me what to do sometimes, but that's good because i won't have to worry about what bit to work on next. Our poster and our PowerPoint were both very successful. I think.
For my art poster, I am partners with Millie and Grace. We work super well together (like we always do).  I finished the border of Maori patterns and it ONLY took 3 and a half hours!! I think we'll be able to finish the artwork this week as we are all so "hardworking".  I love working with my friends and I hope there will be more tasks like this sometime.

btw, I like cheese, do you like cheese?

India!!! (and stuff I've learnt about my super weird friends)

The country I've been researching is India and my partner is Niamh. Some facts I've learnt about it is that the country is officially called the Republic of India. It is the seventh largest country in the world. The capital city is New Delhi but their biggest city is Mumbai. Their official language is Hindi and English and their currency is called Rupees. They also have the second largest population with over 1.2 billion people. That's not all, there are also lots of interesting facts like how cricket is the most popular sport in India is cricket and the national symbol is the endangered Bengal tiger. It is also illegal to take Rupees out of India. Breathing the air in Mumbai for one day is equivalent to smoking a hundred cigarettes because of the pollution. There are police officers in a state who get paid extra for having moustaches.

I learnt that Millie likes spies, Grace likes the colour blue, Calvin likes dragons, Caitlin likes Bob the builder, Katherine likes Kpop, Sharon likes The vamps and a particular fish and bro likes you.

The extra thing I learnt this week is that injections don't hurt.

MY LITTLE PONY, JOHNNY DEPP AND SHERLOCK!!!

Lately, I've been into watching My Little Pony. I love it so much and my favourite character is Pinkie Pie because she's the cutest. My friends say it's for five year olds but I still think it's perfect. Every episode is about 20 minutes long, and they're all about friendship. I also really like an actor called Johnny Depp. He's been in heaps of movies and his roles are always the most crazy and adventurous ones. According to my friends I am totally obsessed. Last but not least, Detectives. Sherlock is definitely my favourite because of his unique personality and his deduction. I've  watched the first episode of Sherlock 8 times and my mom has banned me from watching cause she's sick of seeing Sherlock coming up on the TV. Anyway, those are my recent interests and I suggest everyone watch My Little Pony.
